One of the most significant threats to the continuance of any industry is to depend up on a single source of raw materials upon which production is based. This can be caused by uninspected factors that lead to a shortage, difficulty in obtaining these raw materials, or an increase in their cost, as is the case of sugarcane bagasse.Variety of raw material sources is the key to the continuity and success of any industry. Therefore, it was necessary to study all available lignocellulosic raw materials in Egypt to utilize their advantages and overcome their disadvantages to compensate for the acute shortage of raw material resources required to manufacture fiberboard panels. This was achieved through continuous attempts of NFB in research, innovations, and trials.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

NFB is a pioneer company in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa for manufacturing of fiberboard, with over 25 years of experience in unitization of agricultural fiber residua and sustainable green materials for production of MDF boards. Manufacturing of MDF in NFB is based on the utilization of sugarcane bagasse, a residual fiber remaining after the sugar extraction process in a sugar mill, instead of its burning, causing a dangerous environmental impact to produce an eco-friendly product with added value.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

NFB has extensive experience in research, studies, and unprecedented innovations to manufacture medium-density fiberboard (MDF) through utilization of agricultural wastes available in Egypt. A variety of trials were carried out to find alternative and sustainable raw materials for eco-friendly MDF manufacturing with value-added products. The trials and innovations are listed below. \n\nThese innovations included the manufacture of high-quality MDF panels carried out at pilot plant and industrial scale.
